Pam and Sam are a couple of coral enthusiasts, ocean lovers, and underwater adventurers who decided to turn their passion for the sea into action. They are the founders of HUMANS4REEFS, where they work to restore coral reefs in the Mayan Riviera and encourage more conscious, sustainable ways of living, including the food we choose to eat.
Along the way, they noticed something important: the way we eat has a real impact on the health of our oceans and our planet. Exploring more plant-based options can be one meaningful way to reduce that impact. While changing habits can feel challenging at first, it often turns out to be easier and tastier than expected.
That’s where chef Lucio comes in. Together, Pam, Sam, and Lucio set out to create food that’s comforting, delicious, and aligned with their love for the ocean. The result is CORAL, home to some of the tastiest vegan pizza and empanadas in the Peninsula, made with fresh local ingredients that are good for your body and gentle on the environment.
